REAP (Rosehill English Accelerated Program) is an accelerated Literature program offered by the College that is designed to enhance the Literacy skills of high performing students.
REAP aims to:
- Support and encourage students who are above expected standard at their current year level in all areas of the English curriculum.
- Introduce more advanced concepts in Literature such as Close Passage Analysis, Creative Interpretations and Literary Critical Lenses.
- Provide an opportunity for students to extend themselves in group-work, analytical argument and individual critical thinking tasks.
- Encourage students to think deeply about the construction of language.
The program places particular emphasis on literary theory, the language and form of poetry and short story modules.
Students must be identified by the Enrichment Learning Specialist, English KLA Leader and English teacher to take part in the program.
