Our Community

All students do their best when they are supported by an active community of parents and students. Parents are invited to take an active role in school decision making processes by joining the school council.

A close working relationship between School Council, teaching and support staff assist in promoting a collaborative decision making body.

School Council

The School Council at Rosehill Secondary College has a history of a close working relationship with the Administration in the governance of the school. It is a stable group consisting of parents from a wide range of backgrounds who share a common interest in achieving the best for all students and families.

It is the Principal’s role to ensure that the Council is fully informed of the educational directions of the school and the resources required to support related programs. School council then endorses the key school planning, evaluation and reporting documents including the School Strategic Plan, the school budget and the Annual ‘Report to the School Community’.

Being a member of the School Council at Rosehill requires some commitment and at times can be challenging, but it is rewarding because of the educational knowledge gained and a sense of making a difference in the lives of children.
