Rosehill receives recognition!

Rosehill receives Bronze award for SWPBS.

Rosehill Secondary College has been awarded a Bronze acknowledgement from the Victorian Department of Education and Training for the successful implementation of the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework.

The objective of the SWBPS framework is to proactively teach expected behaviours, reward positive behaviour and emphasize the College values of Respect, Initiative and Learning (RIL). The most visible component of the SWPBS framework is the whole school acknowledgement system which includes the RIL Shop and RIL cards. However, the RIL has been embedded into many aspects of College life including student wellbeing, teaching and learning, behaviour management and student voice.

The Bronze acknowledgement comes with a one-off $1,000 financial reimbursement, which the College plans to reinvest into the reward system by purchasing more items for the RIL Shop.

Congratulations to the SWPBS team and thank you to all the staff, students and parents who ‘Keep it RIL’ at Rosehill.
